We are delighted with the performance of our students at GCSE level where almost 80% of students achieved 5+ grades at 9-4 level. Our performance in the core subjects was particularly pleasing as was the number of students gaining 5+ grades at 9-7. We are also absolutely thrilled with our ALPS (Progress) score for our 2022 results which is a ‘3’ for GCSE and BTEC equivalent qualifications. (‘Excellent’, top 25% nationally)
We are really pleased with the results that our students have achieved today as this has been an incredibly tough two years in preparation for these exams. They were of course unable to sit their Year 9 and 10 qualifications and so had no experiences of external assessments. The resilience and commitment the students showed under such conditions is astonishing especially after returning to College from remote learning and we are very proud of their achievements.
The vast majority of students have gained the qualifications they need to continue their studies, many in to our Sixth Form.
Eden Tanner, Principal, said, ‘Congratulations to all our students on achieving these excellent results in such exceptionally challenging circumstances. I want to highlight the excellent teaching and pastoral care provided by our dedicated staff as well as the encouragement and support of parents.’
Well done to all our students who have worked incredibly hard to achieve these results!
