Year 11
My thanks to all parents and Year 11 students for their support with our arrangements over the last two weeks regarding study leave. Given all the time lost over the last two years due to the pandemic we strongly believed that we should continue students’ lessons for as long as it was practicably possible to do so, and we are pleased that attendance has remained high for the majority of the time. We have, however, taken a flexible approach with a small number of individuals where particular circumstances prevailed. We do hope that parents and students see the rationale for this approach and that our underlining priority was to ensure the best possible exam preparation for everyone.
After half-term subject specialist teachers will be in their classrooms for their normal timetabled lessons for Year 11 until such time as the last exam has been completed in that subject.
Year 11 students have the opportunity to attend these lessons, if they wish, for final revision support, otherwise they should only attend college for exams or should be on home study leave.
The Year 11 Study Room in the ALC will be available for any student who requires it between exams or lessons. Those remaining in College will be provided, by Mr Andrews, with details as to how to sign in, so that we know they have remained on College grounds.
Our invigilating team have already commented on the very focussed and positive attitude of our students in the exams, and we are hopeful of some very good results from this year group.
I hope you have an enjoyable half-term holiday.
Mr Tanner - Principal
